Only the torso down to the knees survives; the head, arms, and lower legs are missing. Holes on the sides show that the arms were attached separately, and there are abrasions on the surface of the garment.    <\/p>\n<p>The figure is shown in motion\u2014this is evident in the strong stride and the dynamic folds of her garment. She wears a short peplos with an overfold. The raised right shoulder suggests that her right arm was extended, possibly holding a wreath. Her wings, like her arms, were probably added separately. The statue likely decorated the front of a public building in the agora of ancient Aiani.
